A huge thanks to all who supported our Christmas fair yesterday. We made enough to feed 5 families.
As you may know the CBC feed a family campaign is well underway. Their goal this year is to raise 60,000 dollars necessary to feed 1500 needy Fredericton families and they have until Friday to do so. In the past, students in Mme Whalen's classes have been able to raise enough money through their 'entrepreneur project' to feed several families and adopt an instrument for the New Brunswick Youth Orchestra.
Today, during nutrition break, in the science lab(food items only) and at noon in front of the theatre, 6EFG will be selling their very own original goods. You will find anything from food items to jewelery, Christmas cards and unique stickers to smoothies all with a personal and Canadian touch. What an easy way to get some Holiday shopping done for friends and family. All profits go to the two organizations mentioned above.
Thank you in advance for your support

Operation Keep the Change and Nashwaaksis Middle School are making a difference!
In an effort to raise money during the Christmas season for three local charities – The Salvation Army, The Fredericton Community Kitchen and The Fredericton Food Bank, students from 7C and Operation Keep the Change are looking for your spare change.
7C students will be coming around to classes during LTT to pick up your spare change. Also, a table will be set up in the school foyer at lunch times during this week only for your donations.
On Thursday, December 16, we will be holding an Ugly Sweater and Hat Day. Students and teachers who wish to participate (wear either an ugly sweater or hat) are asked to donate $1.00 to Operation Keep the Change. The homeroom class that has the greatest percentage of participants will win a pizza party for those participating ONLY.
Students who donate $1.00 or more this week will receive a ticket for a prize draw. The draw for prizes will be held on Monday, December 20. There are 29 prizes in total – pens, t-shirts, mugs and movie passes.
So dig deep into your pockets and your hearts and make a difference!
