Sea Cadets

A young lady by the name of Kelli Hughes who is with the 353 New Maryland Sea Cadets, located in New Maryland New Brunswick will be in the school on Wednesday at lunch time to recruit students interested in the Sea Cadets program.

As you may or may not be aware, the cadet movement focuses on four key aims, which include developing the attributes of good citizenship and leadership, promoting physical fitness and stimulating the interest of youth in the land, sea and air activities of the Canadian Forces.

The cadet movement is a valuable tool for the growth of youth in Canada. We meet Monday nights from 6:00-9:00 pm at the New Maryland Elementary School. Anyone age 12-17 is welcome to come, and there is no cost to join.

Some of the upcoming events we will be participating in include a winter field training exercise, a bowl-a-thon, band competition and more. If there is interest in joining Sea Cadets, we encourage them to come in Monday nights.
